The CAPITOL booklet #03 | Graphic Design | Romanian Design Week 2019

The 7th edition of Romanian Design Week, a multidisciplinary event dedicated to local creative industries, will be held from 17th to 26th of May.

The central exhibition of RDW will be arranged in the BCR building from the University Square, Bucharest, and brings together five categories – Architecture, Product Design, Graphic Design, Fashion and Multidisciplinary Design – showcasing the best projects made in the last year by Romanian designers, graphic artists and architects, selected from a record number of 500 projects registered in the open call organised at the beginning of the year.

Among the selected projects are the Un-hidden Bucharest II map, in the Multidisciplinary category and CAPITOL #03 booklet, in the Graphic Design category, both produced by Save or Cancel.

Produced by Save or Cancel, the Capitol booklet #03 presents information about the ensemble of monuments, a summary of the historical studies, and a recap of the activities and events which, for the last 10 years now, aim to reactivate collective memory and to reintegrate CAPITOL in the public circuit.

The booklet can be purchased from the feeder.ro online shop. You can browse through the digital version for free, below.

Situated downtown Bucharest, the ensemble of historical monuments CAPITOL Cinema (LMI B-II-m-B-18683) and CAPITOL Summer Theatre (LMI B-II-m-B-19202) occupies the plot of land between 36 Elisabeta Blvd. and 13 C-tin Mille St.

In 2017-2018, Save or Cancel proposes a cultural heritage awareness and sensitization campaign, with an application on Capitol Cinema / Theatre Summer, revealing the economic, social and educational potential of all abandoned cultural spaces in Romania, and the involvement of artists and the local community in trans-sectorial, multi-disciplinary, collaborative projects.
